Netframe vs Proxmox VE

Mature, capable open-source virtualisation, minus the enterprise support, SLAs, and integration you need to run a regulated environment.

Proxmox VE is a respected open-source virtualisation platform with a passionate community. Where Netframe extends past Proxmox is in enterprise-grade support, SLA-backed engineering relationships, fine-grained multi-tenant RBAC and audit, a first-party multi-proxy backup architecture, dedicated migration tooling, a management UI built for clarity over configuration depth, and the operational ergonomics that compliance-driven environments require.

Side by side.

Getting from Proxmox VE to Netframe.

Both platforms use KVM, so VM images (qcow2 / raw) are directly compatible. Migration typically involves: power down on Proxmox, copy disk images to Netframe storage, redefine the VM on Netframe (via Manager UI or REST API), and reboot. The Netframe team can assist with scripted bulk migration for larger Proxmox estates.
