Netframe vs Nutanix AHV / AOS

Polished hyperconverged platform with deep storage integration, and a licensing model that scales with the size of your estate.

Nutanix popularised hyperconverged infrastructure: hypervisor and software-defined storage as a tightly integrated stack, with the Prism management plane on top. The trade-off is a forced HCI architecture, tiered licensing that grows with the estate, and no real choice in storage. Netframe is the alternative for organisations that want enterprise-grade virtualisation without committing to HCI economics or a single-vendor storage fabric.

Getting from Nutanix AHV / AOS to Netframe.

Nutanix AHV uses KVM under the hood, so VM disk formats are compatible. Migration from AHV to Netframe typically uses VM export (qcow2) and re-import via the Manager, scripted via the Netframe REST API for bulk operations. From ESXi-on-Nutanix, use Netframe Converter directly.
